Malta International Food Festival

There’s always something happening on Malta, with so many events throughout the year it can be hard to keep up. And with fantastic weather at this time of year, dining al fresco is encouraged. In May we celebrated the Malta International Food Festival hosted at the spectacular Mdina ditch location.

The Malta International Food Festival took place on 29th and 30th May and showcased food from six different nations across the globe. The International Food Festival was a tasty feast for the senses with American, Asian, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Maltese cuisines, all freshly-prepared. There were also live cookery demonstrations and shows, and displays of mouth-watering food.

And as always, good food is complemented by good wine. A variety of drinks were available for purchase to enjoy with the tasty food choices. With live music throughout the weekend, the atmosphere was lively with lots of great local performances.

The Festival catered for the whole family and there were plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, including face-painting, bouncy castles and entertainers.

The Food Festival was hosted at Mdina ditch in the historic walled city of Mdina. Just a short stroll from No 2. Labini, you can find Mdina by heading left onto Labini, turning right onto Karrijiet and after a short while you’ll see a path to Mdina gate on your left. Food Festival, Mdina is a great place to explore and has plenty of other tasty treats to stumble across.
