Are you brave enough to enter the dark and horrifying Mdina Dungeons?

Mdina Dungeons gives you an insight in the dark site of Malta's history. Underneath the Palazzo Vilhena you will find a number of medieval chambers, cells and underground passageways, showing the monstrosities from the Roman through to the Arabian episode of Malta. When Napoleon overtook the Island in 1798 torture was outlawed temporarily. But it wasn't before the british gouvernor Sir Thomas Maitland arrived in Malta in 1813 that torture was completely banned from Malta. Take all your courage and experience a part of Malta's history that is often kept a secret!

Opening hours daily from 10am till 4:30pm (last entrance 6:15pm). Entrance fee is 5 Euro (discounts for students and group-/family-tickets available).
